Got caught out by the 15mph speed limit at the end which I think is a fault of the route. Quite liked exploring the yard at York at the end- a note about having to set the points might be in order but I realized in time, and at the low speed, it was easy enough. One thing though- this took a good deal longer than the posted 60 minutes even at 45mph the maximum operating speed of those HAA hoppers when empty and I suspect other wagons in the train would have demanded an even lower speed limit.

Very good scenario AI dropped off a bit towards york. Thank you.

A bit boring - but this might be a thing with ECML. A good one to unwind after a stressful day - the sound of the loco, with a light freight, doing 75 at the slow line is relaxing.

HI RockRail, Yes I will agree with the other dedicated rail pottys, ha-ha, this was a great little scenario and I really enjoyed taking part in this one. Thanks for sharing my freind and all the best to you and family o.k. (COLIN.D.) ABERDEEN, SCOTLAND U.K.

Nice run...thanks from Crete Greece

OK. The scenario works well, but the line is spookily quiet south of Thirsk - it could do with some more AI.

Re my previous comments,, perhaps i should read the other comments first and then discover how easy it is to work it through, dumb one here, sorry for last comment oooops
ZiTiV 14 Feb, 2013 @ 1:03am
ground signal in clear position, lets you run straight into an oncoming express, if however you wait for the hst to pass, you still get derailed even though you are running under a clear ground position signal, will give this a miss for a while.
GhostEngineer 26 Jan, 2013 @ 4:53pm
Nice ride RRV.

@Malc, I think you're setting off too soon when you find the points still switched against you. The ground signal shows a proceed aspect in error at the start, because a) the points are switched against you, making you derail and b) you're on a collision course with another train. If you set off before the HST clears the signal block ahead, you will also be occupying said signal block. This block then won't clear when the HST exits it and, as long as a block is occupied, the route through it can't be changed, so the point stays locked against you. I suggest monitoring the 2D map until you see you "have the road" before proceeding in this sort of situation.

Hi again, just ran the scenario again, third time lucky as the points did change after the 0800 had gone over them, didn't do that before, must be a periodic glitch, all's well, thanks, malc.
Quackers, L/S,RP1,RN.(U.K.) 17 Jan, 2013 @ 3:24am
hi, i keep getting derailed due to the points against me just outside the starting depot, why is that, and i can't change them.
roberts113 15 Jan, 2013 @ 12:59pm
Excellent scenario. Like the one bellow, the end is a real brain teaser. I ended stopping 3 times before getting the proper siding ;-)
juliancharles 6 Jan, 2013 @ 2:38am
Great scenario especally at the end. Makes you think. The secret is to stop 2 miles out and plan your route into the correct siding. Exellent work. I enjoyed it!
keith.stroud.52 19 Dec, 2012 @ 10:13am
An enjoyable trip, thanks very much for all your hard work, keith.
Scott Lund 16 Dec, 2012 @ 1:03pm
Also wanted to add that I find it fun to work my way around the yard. playing the routes I find that it is always best to stop and check that the switches are thrown in the directions you need. Thank You for a fun route. Scott
Scott Lund 16 Dec, 2012 @ 12:35pm
Thank You I really enjoyed! Wish there was more yard traffic in and around York. Scott
Theo M 10 Dec, 2012 @ 4:07pm
Echo some of the rest, the circular tour makes sense when you check ahead, colour blindness means sometimes routes dont stand out too well, having to set that last junction manually got lost in the sidings had to reverse in but there is enough room to do that so no harm done, wish I could do as well, really appreciate the effort these authors of free scenario's put in, must take hours of often frustrating work, then to have people pick up on minor details, takes some commitment Phil
Phase3 13 Nov, 2012 @ 8:06pm
Good scenario sneaky not to tell us that we had to manually set the points for the final destination. LOL.
Sid Swindle 13 Oct, 2012 @ 2:57am
Hi R.R.V, I have just completed my driving duties with the mixed freight working to York yards. A most enjoyable scenario to operate, with traffic running in the opposite direction too, which I thought was a nice touch to this scenario. Towards the end of the journey (the last 12 miles) I was expecting a to be approached by more oncoming rail traffic, but I guess It must have been a quiet spell at this stage of the journey yeah! Other than this observation, very good I thought. All the best. (COLIN.D.)
spikeislander 10 Oct, 2012 @ 7:49am
Enjoyed the scenario and knowing York expected the wide circular trip. More traffic at York would have been great.
guenter.weber46 10 Oct, 2012 @ 12:23am
Bis York recht einfach, dann alle Weichen selbst stellen und HG 15 MPH.
Insgesamt ruhige Fahrt.
Gawain 3 Oct, 2012 @ 1:32pm
Agree with the comment about the yard routing. Nice scenario, but the traffic ran out well before York. Fixing that little detail would really put the cherry on the cake!
DigForRedstone 3 Oct, 2012 @ 9:07am
Nice gentle run, although the ending at york was a little confusing - maybe you should add a note telling players they will be routed around the outside of the yard? Other wise, a good scenario.
