@Ridikalus:

Try my mod "Courting and Marriage". Maybe you get lucky, but no guarantees!
Ridikalus 19 Oct, 2020 @ 12:34pm
Damn, my Bosmer already married a Nord.
Krystl Mcloud 17 Sep, 2020 @ 11:46am
Ah, that definitely makes sense. I don't have The Marriage Book installed, but I'll fix that soon and see if I can find a solution in there!
Altbert  [author] 17 Sep, 2020 @ 2:38am
Both Anoriath and Elrindir are no questgivers, so that can't be the problem. Keep in mind that this mod dates back to 2012 and latest updates for the game are from 2015, so the mod can be outdated. Have a look in The Marriage Book (link above). Maybe you can find a solution in the book.

I can't prompt the marriage conversation with either Elrindir or Anoriath. I try to talk to them whenever they're not working, but it's incredibly rare that they're not and so I don't know how to prompt a response from either of them. Anyone know why this is? I know Anoriath is a potential Dark Brotherhood Assassination target.

This could be due to Faendal being a questgiver (A lovely letter), being a potential follower and being set as a follower of Camilla Valerius. He can also be asked to become a Blade in the quest Rebuilding the Blades. Some of these problems can be solved by installing Arthmoor's Unofficial Skyrim Patch.
The Lady of the Rainwood 13 Jul, 2016 @ 4:37pm
That's odd, because every time I go to talk to him with many different marriage mods (independently, of course), he doesn't say anything different.
Altbert  [author] 13 Jul, 2016 @ 4:19am
Faendal is marriable in this mod.
The Lady of the Rainwood 12 Jul, 2016 @ 3:44pm
Is Faendal one of the Bosmer you can marry with this mod?
Shadow 7 Apr, 2016 @ 4:52pm
Alright. Thank you for answering. I do have the unoffical patches all installed, but I'll try the load order thing.
Altbert  [author] 7 Apr, 2016 @ 1:25pm
@Dr. Sawbones: It's difficult to say if there's a way to fix it. As I mentioned before (see my answer to SocialNinja's post) there's vanilla Skyrim to consider (AI System), but also possible installed mods should be taken into consideration. Try putting my mod as low in load order as possible, and install Arthmoor's unofficial patches. These patches solve a lot of bugs present in vanilla Skyrim.

I personally absolutly loved Gwillin and wanted my bosmer lady to marry him and thanks to you that part worked perfectly fine. I was so happy when he said "I do."
But strangely enough ever since the ceremony he has returned to acting like nothing changed (despite still wearing his ring). He responds to me the way he always did and there are no new dialouge options.
So now tmy character is married to the right guy but he does not act one bit like it, won't move in with her either (I don't even get the option to ask him to move in with me). Has this problem occured to anyone else and if so, is there a way to fix it?
Altbert  [author] 24 Nov, 2015 @ 3:43pm
@SocialNinja: Sorry! My mod dates from September 2012, and I wasn't that expercienced at the time. All I can say is that Skyrim's AI system not always works the way we like it to work, and after all those years I still haven't got the knowledge to mess with the AI system. You could try to use my mod "Courting & Marriage", but no guarantees for success.

Hello! I was soo happy when I found your mod! I fell in lust with the wood elf fisherman Valindor from Riftin. We got married and it was a lovely cerimony (To Have and to Hold mod installed). I told him I wanted to live in my house in Farkrith (spelling XP) but he never showed. SO I went to look for him, and I found him, walking to work, NAKED. He turns to me and says, "Hello, my love. Back from some adventure I bet!" and I can get money and food and tell him I want to move, he will say he will meet me there, and walks to the Riften gate, and yet he isnt there when I get home :(

You are so very welcome Altbert, I adore your mods, specially 50 it adds a leveled (Good) amount of Vegtables meats and other things to Skyrim more to what the character would eat or the likes. The Marriage Mods add more of a variety that everyone needs that Bethesda left out. NOW if we could find the right files to make the Hawt Male Altmer's sound as they should for such would be cool, or if Bethseda added them for us. But again You're welcome.

@jinxxed_kitty: Thanks!
jinxxed_kitty 2 Jun, 2015 @ 6:02pm
I have added a few of your mods to my collection of mods that I can't live without, I have used them before and found them wonderful, just havent added them back yet to the new game I have. Wonderful work Altbert. I also use your Fifty Mod I love it as well.
mooshakes 13 Aug, 2014 @ 6:56pm
Thanks! I'm trying the mod Enthir Fix and so far it's worked to add back his regular inventory.
Altbert  [author] 11 Aug, 2014 @ 11:48pm
Maybe you could try my mod "Fence? No Fence!". In the mean time I will look further into this.
mooshakes 11 Aug, 2014 @ 4:28pm
This mod is awesome, thank you for making something that fixes such a huge lacking in the game. I married Enthir and seems be working ok, but I lost the ability to sell items to him as a fence. He only does the regular "spouse store" now. Right after the wedding I spoke to him in the college and he would still buy and sell stolen things, but after I moved him into my HF home in falkreath he lost his mage/fence inventory. Any ideas how I can turn this off and keep his old shop?
Altbert  [author] 6 Jun, 2014 @ 4:22pm
Problem with Valindor may be that he is a quest target in a Thieves Guild and a Dawnguard Volkihar vampire quest (if you have joined these factions). Otherwise Valindor can be a quest giver and quest target in various radiant quests.
Nightingales_Sorrow 6 Jun, 2014 @ 6:16am
His name is Valindor
Altbert  [author] 5 Jun, 2014 @ 4:29pm
@MissEclips3: Who is your spouse? There are 13 Bosmer who can be married. It will be easier for me to know who is causing the problem.
Nightingales_Sorrow 5 Jun, 2014 @ 2:45pm
I married one of the new spouses and after the wedding i tried to talk to him and all he says is "oh do you need something?" when i look in his inventory by pickpocketing it still shows the bond of matrimony. Can you help or try to fix it? Thx ^.^
HDemye 9 Apr, 2014 @ 8:33am
I'll try, thanks
Altbert  [author] 9 Apr, 2014 @ 6:10am
After building the house with the children's room (including bed and cabinet), you should first move your spouse and children in. After you have done so, you can hire a steward, bard, carriage driver. The other way around and they won't!
Rhohera 8 Apr, 2014 @ 6:47pm
I found that the new spouses (ones who aren't originally supposed to be spouses) would not move into my hearthfire house, but they would move into any house I bought in a town. Not sure if there is a fix, but that is just what I found.
HDemye 11 Mar, 2014 @ 10:20am
I can not ask niruin to live in my house in Falkreath (hearthfire house), do you have a solution ?
Altbert  [author] 17 Oct, 2013 @ 2:11pm
Use Wrye Bash 300 and BOSS to get you load order correct.
Erica-the-Awesome 16 Oct, 2013 @ 12:09pm
i found this mod doesnt work. it probably has to do with load order, but i dont have the time to mix and match with my 80-some-odd mods. :( srry
Altbert  [author] 13 Oct, 2013 @ 11:24pm
They should be compatible! But, you should take not that when you have built your house, first move spouse and child(ren) and after that hire bard, carriage drive, steward. Otherwise beds may have been used and spouse and children won't move.
Erica-the-Awesome 13 Oct, 2013 @ 9:58pm
are your marriage mods compatible with hearthfire? like, if i married a bosmer, and adopted a child, would they all live in one of the houses i built? i downloaded a marriage mod (dont know where) and my spouse wouldnt move in to my hearthfire house!!
Jack 13 Aug, 2013 @ 5:49pm
I second the comment below
saint razor 1 Apr, 2013 @ 7:36pm
god bless ur soul i've been wanting to marry niruin since i joined the guild you're a savior
Altbert  [author] 31 Mar, 2013 @ 11:37am
Take a look in the Marriage Book or on my website ( www.elder-scrolls.nl) for a listing of all the marriageable NPCs. Then look at www.uesp.net for their regular residence. If they are still alive, you should be able to find them!
Starlight 31 Mar, 2013 @ 11:32am
hey um where is a one of the males i dont know where

Altbert  [author] 28 Sep, 2012 @ 6:12am
OK. I will put them all in the description of the various plugins.
HELLO THERE 28 Sep, 2012 @ 12:54am
I think what we really want to know is WHO you are able to marry. You have pictures of only two Bosmeri males out of 13. I would also like to see the Aldmeri choices, as well.
Altbert  [author] 27 Sep, 2012 @ 9:58am
Marriage options are the same as in vanilla Skyrim, none have been added. I have only added NPCs who you can marry, so you have a bigger choice. If you want to add other options to the marriage system, you should look for "marriage mod", "marriage extended", "multiplemarriage", etc. These mods extend the Skyrim marriage system by altering the wedding ceremonie, allow you to divorce, marry more than one NPC.
Psychoslaps 27 Sep, 2012 @ 8:36am
in the description it says 13 bosmers, but you only show 2. Can you tell me all the marriage Options that are added with this mod?
