Mrowan, put the key in the slot, put the direction switch into the forward position, release brakes and apply power. When putting direction switch into the forward position, press Q after doing so to cancel a horn. This is a cautionary horn and can be cancelled by pressing Q. If the emergency brakes apply, do not release them. Wait for the train to stop fully, wait 30 seconds, release the brakes and move off.

I do find it a little annoying that the 156 was not updated for TSX mode :(

Not that your comment was in vain, many find the headlight procedure for the Class 156 tricky, anyone seeing your comment will at least gain knowledge.

oh, ok.
DPSimulation  [author] 26 Dec, 2014 @ 1:21pm
Brummie didn't mean no headlights as such, it's the fact that the Class 156 was never updated by Oovee to feature TSX lighting, and therefore does not project on to the track.

Brummie, if you look at the silver panel on the right of the cab, you will see 9 switches. You need to use the keys "h, j, k, and l" for the lights. Use F7 and F8 to change the destination. This is the same for the 150

Always enjoy your scenarios, incl. this one. Just bought this Class 156 and a bit weird driving with no headlights lighting the track but still enjoyed. Thanks!

It does move, provided you follow the instructions to get it moving, these can be found in the manual for the Class 156.

Can You do a Class 156 ONE from Paddington (12) to Slough (5) and then Back again (3 Cars btw) OR a six car Class 156 ONE from Paddigton (7) to Reading (9)?
PlaneSailing 26 Oct, 2012 @ 3:16am
is ok to get used to driving the 156
DPSimulation  [author] 11 Oct, 2012 @ 7:35am
I'll look forward to your efforts in the workshop Steve. Some scenarios simply reflect real life, not every service gets constantly checked by signals.
Fairrosamund 11 Oct, 2012 @ 6:49am
This is basically a boring scenario, which could be greatly improved by running the train to a timetable and adding in a few adverse signals here and there.
jcolis 6 Oct, 2012 @ 12:43am
Requesting to come aboard.
