Description
Version 2.2 of The Founding Fathers Server Mod is here!

Works with the post-release update!

Since Keen created the vanilla blocks, I cannot take any credit for them no any other packaged blocks. Also, since we are not fluent in 3D modeling, we cannot reskin some most of the modded blocks (Keen has most of the textures within the models themselves).

And the usual disclaimer: This is intended for use on our private server, so the content may change at any time. Feel free to sub. If you find a bug related to the mod, let me know in a comment below.


Known issues:
7.62 and 5.7 PDW rifles do not animate correctly when firing from the hip, despite being keen's original models and animations. Aiming down the sights works perfectly for some reason.

Some small ship turrets from Battle Cannons cause a CTD when you attempt to "control" them. This is an issue with the original mod that I'm looking into. It may be out of the scope of my abilities if it's an issue with the model. I have disabled the worst one, but the others may cause issues on occasion.

Some of the mod block recipes don't appear in the assembler. A future update will eventually include a fix for these.
Blocks are not in proper order or locations on the "G" screen. I have fixed most of them, but not all since I typically use the search function.[/i]


List of additions and tweaks:
Added weapons from Battle Cannons mod. Tweaked nearly everything in the mod for better balance.


Gyros Large and Small grids:

High Speed Gyro
High Mass Gyro
Uranium Core Gyro
Uses newly added 'Uranium Plates'


Thrusters Large and Small versions for Large and Small grids:

Closed Cycle Hydrogen Engines
High Output Atmospheric Thrusters
Overcharged Ion Thrusters


Batteries and Capacitors for Large and Small grids:

Capacitors have higher power output, but less storage capacity
Batteries have been unified and re-balanced based off number of power cells


Weapons & Ammo:

Ammo Types:
5.7 NATO Magazine
7.62 NATO Magazine
30mm NATO Anti-Material Ammo Box
100mm Missile + HE version
Added 200mm HE missile. All vanilla weapons will shoot them
Note: in order for a weapon to pull HE missiles, you must load 1 manually first, so it forces the weapon to change ammo types. It should continue to pull HE missiles until you manually load regular missiles.

Note: not listed are ammos for Battle Cannons.

Weapon Blocks:
Anti-Material Gatling Turret
Large grid only. Uses 30mm NATO anti-material rounds.
Hellfire Missile Turret
Large grid only. Uses all new 100mm missiles.
Anti-Material Gatling Gun
Small grid only. Uses 30mm NATO anti-material rounds.
Hellfire Missile Launcher
Large and Small grids.Uses all new 100mm missiles.
Point Defense Turret
Large grid only. Uses 5.7 NATO. Intended to be anti-missile. Does NOT shoot missiles by default. Settings must be changed for every turret placed! Also, range is limited to 400m, but slider defaults to 600m.

Note: Not listed are weapon blocks for Battle Cannons.

Hand Weapons:
5.7 PDW Rifle
Very high ROF. Very low damage. Low accuracy.
7.62 NATO Rifle
Same ROF as Elite. High damage. High accuracy.
25mm Anti-Material Rifle
This is an older model and is kind of janky. It will probably be replaced or removed in future updates.
Tweaked Hand Held Rocket Launchers
They now fire both versions of 100mm missiles. They no longer use 200mm missiles!


Production Blocks:
Soft Metals Furnace
Hard Metals Furnace
Uranium Enricher


Misc. blocks & Tweaks:

Telescopic Camera
Camera and Turret overlay has been masked out slightly to be less obvious.



Max speed has also been increased to over 200 m/s. All ammo and missiles have been increased to reduce the chance of exploding at launch (vanilla missiles travel about 200 m/s, increased to 320 m/s) Note: Needs to be increased further. Will modify soon!

know, I need to make a proper description and readme file with a list of changes. I have one final tweak to integrate tonight, then I'll update everything, description included.
