Yes, this is something we are going to improve.
In the next patch players will get a message saying you must restart the game before the mods will work properly, so that will hopefully eliminate some of the confusion.
In the future we will look at finding a way to check when an assets should be loaded, so that we don't have to restart for every mod.

Another question.
Could you guys turn it that way, that when a Server got mods on the client downloads them automaticly instead of having each client go to workshop and get them manually. ?

Yes, this is something we are going to be looking at. It would definitely make it a lot easier to use mods!

Could someone give more detail about how to get the dev kit? The wiki says to go to the epic games site and download the dev kit, but the closest I can find is "get unreal" in the upper right corner. Are we just downloading the unreal dev environment, or is it something specific for conan? A direct link or navigation steps to it might be useful for the wiki!

You can't have 2 mods adding items since one overwrites the other mods item table edits.

Yeah, this is an unfortunate side-effect of our whole system. We aren't working on it right now, but it's definitely something we want to fix as fast as possible.

Going to give this a shot. I was not however expecting a 65.7GB download >.> Which I assume is only going to get larger with each update. I guess my only question would be could I "move" the "ConanExilesDevKit" folder from C:/ to say D:/ and still have it function correctly? Would feel more comfortable with something of this size on my 2 tb HDD instead of my 500GB SSD.

You can move it, however your cook time will increase by a large amount without using a SSD. my HDD takes about 4-6 times as long as comparable SSD cooks

You will have to download the Epic games software and install it once installed you can download devkits

"Pure guess that is how the devkit is obtained for other games using Epic Games"

is there a reason that when your making large mods, once in awhile all the mesh files will disappear from the original items in the game, its happened 3 times, and I cant seem to get it to fix, all original items in game mesh files are working when you go in-game but missing when your in the editor (they are just blank for no reason). so I fear when I update my mod, its also going to update all original items to blank mesh files... therefor I havnt been able to mod in months, meaning I have tons of broken mods that are useless time wasters right now.. also, ive tried to make a entirely new mod with the same coding, and the game just crashes upon item spawn non stop, yet the worked / spawned before the editor messed up and deleted its own files.
