Zero G Arena Workshop
For now, all workshop submissions that meet some basic criteria will be added by the developer to the full game for everyone. For silly reasons, the items might not be publicly visible in the workshop

New section in guide on supporting different game modes
Just so everyone knows, I've added a new section to the guide on supporting different game modes for your map. It also goes over what you need to add to the map in order to support each game mode that's currently in the game.

will there be a video guide for this as well or is that already a thing

I thought in this case a text guide made more sense, I can do a video guide if it helps though

you should, in the sense of guides, some people learn better through text, some through images, and some through audio. so its always better to make both

Yeah, that's definitely true. When I get time, I'll make a game modes video. There are probably some other things I should add guides for too that might take priority

a thought just occured, how well is AI gonna work on user submitted maps? are you gonna do a nextbot thing and have a node that helps the AI learn and scan the map? cuz that could be usefull if you decide to switch to the easier workshop that works through steam

Yeah, that's a very good question. I've thought about it a little already, but I'll just have to see once I've started on the AI. Ideally, the AI will be able to "scan" the map by itself, without any extra data stored in the map. Not sure how doable that will be yet.
UE4 does have a system for creating AI navigation data automatically, but like a lot of UE4's systems, it's just not going to work with ZGA's zero g maps, haha.

I may have to make a system that lets the map creator manually define a node network or something if they want their map to support AI. If we're still using the current system in future, that's even something I could do myself when the map's submitted. To be honest, it wouldn't be the end of the world if user made maps don't work with the AI, but I'll have to see what I can do when I get on to it.

hopefully it works out in the long run then
