Question though, I downloaded a version earlier that allowed me to set the mod up for an online game. It has since been removed from workshop. The version I downloaded from moddb can only work for single player games. Is there something I am missing?
Also, is there a faction conversion sheet so I know what factions are what? I tried France and it somehow was the HRE.
Thank you though for this awesome mod!
Okay,
I had problems earlier on trying to update the mod. When I tried to do so, for some reason Workshop chose to duplicate my content despite my best efforts so I had to delete all my mods, and start afresh.
If I may ask, does this version still work and can it help set up multiplayer games?
We have a "tribe mask" listing on our official Wiki at this page

You can use this as a quick reference card to guess which factions go where.
So as of this time, I think it only works for single player games. I ran it for a little bit and worked fine for me.
And thank you! I was looking for that! :)
Sadly my knowledge of how RoN works is confined solely to TaP, Steam is a format I am still trying to master.
This is very strange, because I was able to access the mod (I blocked the Patreon plugin version to isolate the Workshop-only content) - I went to LAN or Direct Internet, created a new game and then it gave me the option to insert the mod. Too bad, custom scripts are not allowed. Bummer.
This is what I think is going on.
The first version, the plugin version you downloaded from Patreon, cannot be used for multiplayer.
So the second version - the Workshop version - is the only one that will register in my machine. I don't know about any settings or whatnot, but this is just a hunch. I have updated the workshop file so as to display the mod which for some reason or the other was hidden.
Right now I am running some modding experiments. Once complete I guss I will have to update both plugin and Workshop content.......
I am sorry I am of very little help, because I hd originally planned this to be for CtW single player not multiplayer.
Were the crashes 100% all the time? can you tell me how many players were involved and what factions were used for each game? if you can do this then maybe I can try and isolate the issue but truth be told my experience does not extend to multiplayer.
Well.........there is a slew of new mods about to hit Steam. You can see them from my Patreon page. Since you say there are issues regarding multiplayer and that is the main reason people play on Steam I must consider this in the future.
I picked the English/British(in the mod). I cannot recall what my friends picked because they picked a different faction each time.
Ah, well is there an error report that I might be able to send to you? I used to play this game when I was in high school but havent played much of the new version on steam.
Is it possible for you to use the plugin version for Steam instead of the Workshop edition?

I am currently testing new anims for Blender, so I am not working on this mod, but I will be updating it if only the code, very soon.
