Modding Workshop Downloads?

Does anybody know if it's possible to mod Destinations downloaded from the Workshop for personal offline tinkering?

I don't think it's really possible at the moment. All the assets are compiled and there isn't any fully working working decompiler. Part of them can be decompiled with this, although when I tried it, the results were far from perfect: https://github.com/SteamDatabase/ValveResourceFormat

You could always try asking the author for the sources.
