Community Car Packs
Hey, Crashday fanatics!

Many of you have probably been playing the game when it wasn't in here, and I believe that some should know the mods that used to be around back then, e.g. from flatoutjoint.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to convert the old car packs and maybe even some other mods to the workshop format. In case anyone would do that, I can provide most of the mods that used to be on flatoutjoint before it shut down.

Thanks in advance, probably in the name of many.

Well, if we find someone to convert them straight away, we could make new packs. I could provide quality 3D models, too

It'd be nice if we could keep it english, but nice to hear that you agree :D

it seems to be a harder task than i first thought. i have the car packs and the Crashday redline SDK uploader. however the packs default to their own primary installer which does not work with the steam version of crashday, just the old crashday.

I think I remember that most of the "installers" just unpacked the stuff in the game's folder, any chance you could just install it over the original game and upload the stuff? I'll try this method as soon as I find my original CD :D

The problem with that solution is that the Steam version of the game is compressed and therefore not structured as the old game. I don't know if or how we could decompress it, but it's gonna be the key for converting mods from the old game

Hello,

CDRE .cpk files can be extracted with any Zip tool (e.g 7zip, WinRar, etc...).
A tutorial to port old mods to new CDRE format is planned and will be available soon.
