It's not a bug. It's the way the blocks work. A random chance of getting more then one flower (tree spawned) along with a few other things.
There's lots of things you can do to cut down on stripping the land. You'll need to do some though. Laying out flowers rows or stacks and picking then up is one such thing, logs and drift wood along with only trimming trees is another, using a lumite cell to collect, hunting chests (surface cest are good along with lava/corruption layer) and other things that help.
Don't lean on the tree though. it might fall over.
the phaser dupe thingy has been squished I'm pretty sure if you go by the threads that popped up after the last update .
At any rate there are resource "packs" that have been made by players in the BP Workshop . Just remember to shop around since there is a range of blocks ( depending on type and amount ) that fit in each pricing category .
