Feel free to debrief me. Let's start easy and promisingly manageable.

Today, I'll update Variant Classes mod and maybe later Skills Expansion mod too.

I don't think I'll be able to apply all desired changes for the Skills Expansion mod due to the intricacy of most of its process but if I can gather enough, easy-to-do modifications, the update will be uploaded today for those changes only.

It's good to have you back! Don't worry- I've been managing the Users of your mods and I have maintained contact with Viz on the Torchmodders.

doudley: Can you do me a favor? I got permission from Viz to upload onto the Steam Workshop the FEP+ mod found on the Runic Games Fansite. However for reasons regarding bug fixing experience I feel it would be better if you uploaded it and maintained it since I wouldn't be able to please Users regarding bug fixes at this time.

It will take me some time to gather all the info regarding bug fixes across all your mods yet I'm sure we will find them all in due time.

I can say that your Warbounds and UI mods have received the most questions of which I could not answer for Users.

Sounds good. The little bugs are the ones that are bugging me the most. Complex ones can wait.

The Blind Mastery fix appears simple as it only requires a target change or an affix change. Remember to change the Range Damage Bonus to a Secondary Damage Bonus in it's Tiers too.

Something I will place into a mod Guide for players one day soon hopefully:

I noticed. I can't thank you enough steffire3.

I don't think FEP+ would require much troubleshooting in regards to uploading. Viz has mastered mod file handling and he sure is attentive at Torchmodders and Discord. You can easily maintain uploads here on Steam while he work on issues and requests and make final changes before publish.

Its also a good way for you to start familiarizing the inner structure of mod files. ;)

I'll work on Skills Expansion soon. Thanks again.

We appreciate you and your work and it's my pleasure to help the Users.

I thank you very much for your statement on my potential to maintain uploads and this also helps me realize that Viz is handling the difficult part which makes my work easy for me.

Thanks for checking fixes especially for Blind Mastery as many look forward to it being beneficial again!

If you guys dont mind(both of you know your stuff so I am hoping to grab your help)

I recently wanted to start a new fresh playthrough with a good mod set.
after much time hunting down a decent list I was looking for troubleshooting options to make Synergies and Essentials and UI+ESO all work together. I ran across doudley's post for the Equipment Slots Overhaul EC and mod load order.

here is my mod order

SynergiesLOWPOP
SynergiesMOD
Equipment Slots Overhaul EC
UI + ESO
Torchlight II Essentials
Enhanced Retex part 1
Enhanced Retex part 2
StormTexturePackv2.4 Part 1
StormTexturePackv2.4 Part 2

(open slot for class)

the first thing I saw that was not working is that no equipment shows on character when equiped. all items even when switching with hot key (A) show the default character ie. no visual change is made when equiping armor...also the hotkey (V) does nothing either.

thank you for your help!

We welcome you and we are glad to help!

For a Class mod: I can recommend "Variant" as it's the most bug free of all Class mod packs in existence due to the combined work of "Viz and Doudley" and it also includes the mod "Extra Synergies Classes".

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=900049612&searchtext=variant

For Load Order: I would personally reverse the Order however "doudley" may know something more about his recommended Order.

It's based on one factor: If a mod is not functional then place it above another mod until it functions. If a mod below stops functioning then place that mod above which can be a compromise.

One thing I noticed in the provided image is that the UI ESO is not appearing at all which is a sign that it needs to be loaded higher above some mods.

I am so glad to hear!

Let us know if any future mod issues are encountered.

The added picture definitely helped.

@ "doudley":

Regarding "Arcane and Bestiary" I would like to continue exploring other ways to write up explainations and connect the various classes, factions and entities in the realm of Vilderan (Torchlight World) while keeping echos of the in game facts yet branching out and really pulling it all together like the way we connected an entire potential history and possible future plot involving the Dragons, Estherians and the Necromancers from the ancient swamps of Grunnheim and even deciphering what angles could have been worthy of being the "Torchlight 3 Crisis".

Of course, I will go slow and steady as I do best yet I felt it was good to just give a heads up that I'm still interested in this mod's development.

Thanks again! ^_^

Thanks! ^_^

Viz will hand me the Media file of his FEP+ mod after he patches some much needed fixes sometime in the near future!

Encouragement ignites creativity... just like the first time you responded to my requests.

Just goes to show what happens when somebody is willing to give one positive response to someone... the Torchlight Forums have been greatly affected... and I will finally maintain a mod on the Workshop for Viz.

So be it!

For everyone:

No one thought auto potions were a thing one year ago yet here we are- auto consume mods are real and only because someone asked.

No one thought tracking foes on the map could be done and here it now exists as Potion of Insight.

No one thought anyone would bother fixing up the best mod classes in the Workshop yet here we now have Variant working for Windows, Linux and Multiplayer.

No one thought any modder would make a dynamic squad of helpers and yet we now have the Warbounds.

No one thought of sharing Embermage and Warfare Skills with other default Classes and now we have Skills Expansion.

Doudley was only known for a small 6 Skill mod 2 years ago and now look at him... totally exploded out 40+ mods and became a staple of the Workshop.

Viz, Corley, Haxley, Darkthan9800, Sophie Kitty, Danielmratliff21, Torch Modders Team, Cooperton, Kebbek, RnF, Draco1122, Vsuchinoko, and many others.

Steam Workshop and TL2 Modding would be nothing without players who made themselves useful by challenging the improbable with a little help.

And I would know... because I was there with many of them when it happened or witnessed when the Torch was passed to a new modder.

It was absolutely worth it and I would gladly assist again and do far more in the future here and elsewhere.

^_^

Your assistance was crucial and if it not for the positive activities here in the workshop, I might not got motivated to work on TL2 mods again. And yes, players' feedback and inquiries were really the spark needed for good mods to happen. I only hope for more time to be able to work on those precious ideas again.

Modding is also a good way to express ideas from players themselves. Variant Classes mod would not be created if it were not for the personal demand of Viz with the lacking of class pack mods around. My human companion mods were the product of my inability to play online. My UI mods were also my way to express my own needs when using the default user interface of the game, then later I just implemented the feedback of others, so that my mods could be for everyone too in some way.

I also like to mention the contributions of modders like Aherin, zParticle, and lyravega that had truly inspired great mod packs around!
