Do Anime themed skins restricted?

So i just being salty after make a weapon skin and give it an anime girl sticker, it was fun but after someone commented about i stole someone's artwork, i feel guilty and delete the weapon skin.. He got the point tho, i can't just put someone's artwork on my weapon skin. But here's the real question, if i could get an approve from the art creator, could i use it as sticker/pattern for my weapon skins?

If the artwork is yours and doesn't contain pornographic themes then your skin is fine.

what if the artwork is my friend's and i allowed to use it for materials on the skins?

If you have permission then yes, you can use the artwork.

the Sad Almir skin has an anime version of Almir on it. So it seems OVK is not against it as long as the art is not leeched from someone else.

Precisely, as long as you have permission, specifically to use that artwork on that skin to use on the workshop (and potentially make it into the game).

As long as you have permission for this, you're good to go.
Personally, i'd say get it in writing, just so that, in case it is selected, you can prove you have permission to use, without having to chase anyone up.
