Make older cutsom map work on new version?

Hello, I have a map in .SGA format that a friend made before CoH moved to steam. The map does not show up in game regardless of where you put it. I think in may have something to do with the map being created many versions back. My question is, can an older SGA file somehow be updated to work on current version of CoH 2.700.2.43?

Thanks for any help or tips.

Download the old version of COH ( Company of Heroes - Legacy Edition )then the old WB load up your map and export it it will save here

C:\Users\Ben\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes\WW2\scenarios

Once you have done that copy the new SGA to

C:\Users\Ben\Documents\my games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2\scenarios

Then it should appear in game

Do you have the 5 map files the WB makes when you save?

mapname.info
mapname.mm
mapname.scar

you should have 5 in total

7 if you do the map preview in game which are

mapname.base & .slots

The only file I have is the final SGA file. I did not create the map. I understand you said open it with the old WB.exe, but the current one will not load the SGA file and renaming it to SGB (I know it's different but I tried anyway) did not work either.

So in your opinion is this at all possible if the older map is already in SGA form and that is all I have. Otherwise thanks for chiming in. I have 2 friends who really want to play this map again.
