simple bone animation
hello. I have trouble animating an object. i created a mesh, made bones, skinned (rigged) it exported as fbx from 3ds max. It imports to hammer model editor, i load the same fbx file for model animation, and it runs in model editor if you hit play. it has 30 frames in total but it has to loop forever. In animations, property editor i found loop, and i have enabled it. but that doesnt help when i run a map. (I tried other things - smooth loop(enable/frames from start/ frames from end), start loop (enabled/loop restart) - i do not understand what they mean but no combination of these seems to play animation in map.. also tried recompiling the model) any thoughts? thank you.

What entity type are you using and how are you triggering the animation?

The easiest way for a constantly animated prop should be using a prop_dynamic and setting the default animation property for it in Hammer. In the model editor all you need for this method is to enable the Loop property for the animation.

hey, thank you! my prop was static! also in object properties had to set default animation. otherwise it was playing in editor but not in build map.
