FTP server idea

So... what if the game were free but with the following limitations:

FTP players could only play on FTP servers.
FTP players can't be commanders.
FTP aliens can't buy evolved lifeforms, but can be bought eggs by their commander.
FTP marines can't buy equipment, but can be equipped by commander.

Such a good game! Just trying to think of how to get it more exposure...

Nothing against free to play but I don't think that your ideas are good because it would require all the time at least 2 people that bought the game and are willing to command. It also throws balance out with free to play players not being able to purchase any other lifeforms and last I would feel very mad as such a player and probably uninstall after the first round ended.

Free to play should not give players any disadvantages over those who bought the game.
