I've gone and adjusted the Bureaucracy Screen
A while back I was throwing a few mods into my game and they came with their own research options, which in turn lead to overlapping and an even messier Bureaucracy screen than vanilla was.
I thought to myself, 'Maybe I could edit where the research goes.'
And did so. Moving around the mod's research options to make them fit. But then I discovered that you couldn't really move around the vanilla ones easily. I gave up, until today.

Next up is looking at fixing the locations of all the mods I use that adds research to my new layout.

I am not sure if I should be making it public use as it does edit within the 'main.dat' file.
Still, I present my reorganized Bureaucracy screen, Vanilla without mods. (Also I am not sure how I would make it a mod anyway :P )

What was adjusted.

- Layout -
I kept the Warden in the middle but made all the primary research options be more central with each of their sub-research branching off directly out of them.

- Sprite Usage -
These were adjusted to allow for a more 'clean' look. Only using the Sprites of units over the items which I felt were overkill.
Removed :: Prison Labour, Surveillance, Remote Access
Added :: Deployment (Guard Sprite)

- Connections -
I adjusted these to how I felt the development and course of action for research would flow.
Finance -
Land Expansion requires Bank Loans.
-- You would be in contact with the bank to purchase land.
Legal -
Permanent Punishment requires Legal Prep
-- You wouldn't be worrying about locking someone away for good unless they did something that requires a bit more paperwork than norm.
Security -
Surveillance is required for both Remote Access and Intelligence.
-- It felt that these connected more with Surveillance than being by themselves.
Deployment is required for both Patrols and Armoury.
-- This had a more flowing feel to how you would research them anyway.
Maintenance/Education -
Prison Labour is now requires Education to be researched first, though is still researched by the Foreman.
-- Well it is Education, right?
Health/Psychology -
Health is required before Psychology is researched.
-- This was just a layout choice, though body before mind in prisons right?
