Change Destination File Name?
Under 'SteamGames > steamapps > Workshop > content > ' the collective file is a bunch of numbers. Further, each car mod that I have downloaded is titled with a series of numbers ('123456789' for example). I am sure this is the same for everyone. This is the first game on steam that I am utilizing the workshop and mods. Would I be able to change the file name for each car from '123456789' to '1965_Ford_Mustang' for example? Would I need to change something within CMS files so that it knows to pull the correct file?

I apologize if this seems like a bunch of jumble, like I said, I am new to using Workshop/Mods so I hope this makes sense and that I am asking the questions the right way lol.

if you want to keep the mods in the workshop folder you cannot rename them, if you want to put them in your CMS shared assets folder you can indeed rename the folders

Is there any issue or change needed if I were to place them in the CMS shared assets folder? and can I place them directly into the 'Cars' folder?

no you dont need to change anything if you place them into the CMS folder, and yes you need to put them into the cars folder
