A nice project for someone technically minded.
You have a large rectangular farm plot. It needs several passes of the plough and seeder to tend it periodically.

Now, using a series of pulleys/ropes or another mechanism, devise a way to create a plotter effect that moves the plough/seeder down one row, across by one and up again repeatedly, the same way a tractor would plough a field, until the whole field is done. It doesn't have to be automated, even if the player has to turn hand cranks in sequence in order to get the job done.

For those who might find that easy, how about a mechanism that allows the unit being moved across the field to be switched between plough or seeder so you plough the field on the first pass, rotate the mechanism to the seeder on the header and seed it on the second pass so the unit is back where it started, ready to plough the field again after the harvest.

I did have a go myself but I find the building in this game is just too fussy and a stepladder to stand above the thing you're building so you can attach something to the top of it is not in the game. I got annoyed at having to build stairs and such to get high enough to build on it.
