I've been putting together a mod that changes the weapon names and descriptions to match the mods I have installed. I have gotten it to work perfectly by putting the VPK into my "custom" folder. No problems there.

Where I'm running into trouble is when I create a mod in the workshop with my VPK, the custom names go away when I subscribe to the mod. I checked the VPK structure that the TXT should be packed in; that was all fine. Then I decided to download some other UI weapon name mods and found that none of them worked by simply subscribing to them.

Will UI (particularly language) mods not work unless placed in the custom folder? Before I gave up I wanted to see if y'all could help. I want to be able to move to a diffrent computer without having to upload my VPK to GDrive or a thumbdrive. Thanks in advance.
