Audio won't work. "can't create mixer"
I'm trying to replace sounds, but it's silence in-game. The log says Failed to load sound. can't create mixer. This repeats anytime the sound tries to play. the format is the same as default (wav), it's 32 bit, just like the default, and the frequency is 44100hz, just like the default. Even the paths and names are correct. I can't work out why they won't work. Also I'm still hearing sounds from other mods I'v since deleted and unsubscribed from. They are nolonger located in custom, yet still play. But they aren't replacing the sounds I'm trying to replace right now, so that's not related. Thanks

I've made dozens of sound mods before, and they work fine, but I've been having a lot of issues lately. And some audio types seem to be more reliable than others. I can always replace music without issues. But as soon as I try to replace jumping sounds or bodies dropping, or gunfire, it doesn't work.

Something interesting I've noticed is that I seem to have more luck when using audio downloaded from youtube. But when I try to use audio from old 90's games, I run into loads of issues. But I do resample them etc to get the right frequency, and some of them work... So why not the others?

I also tried reinstalling the game, making sure the whole insurgency folder was deleted. no fix, and I'm still getting sounds from mods I don't even have... Anyway, the sounds I'm trying to replace now are still not working. And while the body-falling sound creates the aforementioned error in the console, other sounds like the pistol and knife, are just silent, with no errors in console.
I also tried using the 16-bitPCM format for the audio files, that won't help either.
