Could use some help here pls.

Hi guys.
(my English grammor is bad i know but just read)
Recently i felt bored plaing Forts thats wehn i discovered MAP MAKING. I was like; "Hey im Crative, ill try it". soon then i struggled by placing,deleting, ect. But one Problem (right now!) is bodering me. How can me and my friends play on my selfmade map and get fresh expirience on the game. Thats wehre u guys come in Action. i Need a good Tutorial (or something else) that can explain to me how i can play my Map. If someone Knows how, and is Friendly enough pls respond.

when you're done with making your map, you can upload it to the steam workshop
(
- click on workshop -> upload
(exclusive) or
- click on map editor -> edit -> [your map] -> save and upload
)
after that you can set the workshop item to be "Friends only". Make sure to subscribe to your map on the Workshop page if not already.
Ingame start a new (Private (or local if you and your friends are on a lan party) ) Lobby and select your map from the "Player" tab

Alternatively(haven't tryed this)
copy your map form the .../Forts/data/maps folder, send them to your friends and play with them
