They wern't even thinking about making planets when the game engine was designed. For them to push the engine this far has been a feat in itself.

Umm... The AI has been borked for a long time now. The newest update didn't have anything to do with that. And the update that brought us planets had nothing to do with the AI, in fact, AI came much later. Also, I fail to see how the AI has anything to do with why they can't add water to the game, which is what I was commenting on.
Lastly, If you're going to jump into the conversation, make sure that:
A.) you have your facts straight.
and
B.) you stick to the actual conversation.
In addition, the AI for animals is working fine (which is what the OP was asking about). The only AI that got completely trashed was the workers AI. So getting some animals to pull a cart and being able to tell them where to go is the component that isn't going to work till the devs fix the AI. Having animals randomly wander around would work (as it works for deer right now).
it is a fun water mod. but don't hopes up about getting vanilla game water. devs already responded several times and said it most likely wont be added.
