Update to ember overhaul mod
Currently I would like to turn to you guys the players to find out what new embers you'd like to see added into the game(or possibly changes you'd like done to existing embers) to help balance out some of the vanilla games late game gem issues.

On a side note I am also thinking about adding new legendary embers that have skills attached to them that will drop with random skill points to those skills. I.E. +2 to +15 to Slowcopter. This will allow lets say an embermage to use an Engineers slowcopter just to add some diversity to already existing characters or to beef up existing skills of a particular class. Was thinking of making them unique equips(so one of those legendary gems per char) but allow you to have multiple different off-skills to your character.

p.s. if you have an idea for a new gem/skill you would like to see added please post some values of these so we can all review them to make sure nothing will be game breaking or even worse under powered. :P

Let me know what you guys think! :D

@ Thuumking (author):

I really enjoy this plan!

Now I can think of some ideas:

Stat Embers: (Strength, Dexterity, Focus, Vitality).

Minion Embers: (Minion: Damage, Armor, Health, Speed).

Luck Embers: (Magic Find, Gold Find, Fish Luck, Vendor Price).

Evade Embers: (Dodge, Block, Foe Miss Attack, Full Heal on Hit).

Reflect Embers: (Damage Absorbed, Missiles Reflected, Reflect Dps, Damage Reflected).

Charge Embers: (Charge Gained, Charge Kept, Fumble Reduced, Fumble Chance).

Speed Embers: (Attack Speed, Cast Speed, Run Speed).

Resist Embers: (Slow Resist, Stun Resist, Immobile Resist).

Meteor Ember: (Meteor on Hit, Meteor on Kill, Meteor on Strike).

Glacial Ember: (Glacial on Hit, Glacial on Kill, Glacial on Strike).

Acid Ember: (Acid on Hit, Acid on Kill, Acid on Strike).

Lightning Ember: (Lightning on Hit, Lightning on Kill, Lightning on Strike).

Eviscerate Ember: (Eviscerate on Hit, Eviscerate on Kill, Eviscerate on Strike).

thats great! i was thinking if we have it so skill embers will only have 1 skill on it but will have a chance to roll 1 of 3 proc chances like you mentioned. having on kill be more common, on hit medium rarity and on striking rare. that way any skill that multihits will proc more often but be much harder to find.

I completely agree!

Second option (if the first idea fails) is to make them seperate Embers and Legendary Rarity if needed.

also very doable. legendary will probably work best too so we can limit the amount of sockets so you cant stack the gems to have lets say 200% chance on striking to cast "super OP move here"

Interestingly it balances out because if one Skill has a greater chance it cancels out the other chances.

Ultimately maxing out the Skill from Socket is limited per it's activation within the game clock.

Nevertheless let's keep the chances reasonably low. ^_^

i agree 1%-5% on striking, maybe up to 10(might be a bit much for some skills)
probably 5-20% for on hit
and maybe 5-50% for on kill (depending on the skill)
also for stat modifying embers there could be like 1-2 affixes on lower tiered embers and the higher the rank the more affixes and the beefier they are?
for example: rank 1 luck ember has a chance to roll 1 out of 4 or 5 different affixes with a range of 1%-10% MF
rank 7 luck ember could have a chance to roll 3 or 4 affixes and have higher stats. 10-30% MF

same with the stat gems like str vit and all that good stuff

I agree and I think other Players will enjoy seeing Mod Embers with several affixes because it greatly helps the limitation of one Item and two Sockets.
