The second class is a field general. Summoner. (Both are).
The field general dosent summon, he orders. Ordering a small number of soldiers; the game uses diffrent uniformed guards throughout; to guard and fight for him. Gotta have ranged troops to. I have seen guards with bow in the game as well.
Then maybe a couple single but tuff ones like like a master sargent and a specialist of some kind to be the heavy hitters.
Lots of military terms for passives and actives.
Nutshell explanation.
The second class is even further from that to an extreme, and would require some creating.
I agree... I'm big fan of light, life and vibrant color! ^_^
This also reminds me that a reorder or shall I say- reposition of (maybe Ezrohir) soldiers is very accessible!

That mod is not a class yet it's proof that your concept can be done for a new class!
Replaces the Skeletons that the original 4 classes can summon througn Scrolls.
However this same technique can be used to create the "Field General" class.
Cant think of a working name for it that i really like. And i know there is already a paladin and a preacher, but im looking for more of a traditional tone to it.
For example, this warrior of God would not summon either as thats more of a dark “word”. Instead he would “call”. Calling archangels, ministering angels, and even the host of heaven to fight for him/her.
Active skills would include Gabriels fist and Michaels sword to smash the monsters.
Passives would include the fruits of the spirit to buff and aide the class.
Holy light as a damaging aura against the undead. Say a quick prayer for blessings.
Again, nutshell, but this one i think would be awesome.
The Bible, the book of jasher and enoch all have great ideas for story, enemies and abilities!
But i dont know how well a game with christian concepts would go over.
Ohhh... I've dreamed of that so much!
So many names and terms can be used for various Skills.
Book of Exodus:
Parting of the Red Sea and the drowning of an entire Imperial Army.
Book of Judges:
Barak fails to follow Deborah's message 100% so a woman (not Barak) ends up saving Israel from Sisera the enemy commander of the Iron Chariot Army.
Gideon and the 300 smashing their vase lamps and confusing thousands of Midianites who end up slaying themselves.
Samson with his Jawbone Weapon and only being killed after pushing the Temple Pillars down in his last stand.
Books of Kings and Chronicles:
King David and his Mighty Men working as merceraries before taking power after King Saul died and often slaying Giants.
King Hezekiah crying out for deliverance to God who sends an angel who destroys the Assyrian Army forcing their king to take an early retreat home from Jerusalem.
Book of Daniel:
Gabriel sent to reveal messages and Michael sent to win against the Prince of Persia so another message can be delivered to Daniel.
Early in the Book of Revelation and Colossians:
Jesus mentioning his victory over Hell and Death and taking their keys from them while it's also stated that Jesus stripped the Powers of their weapons in victory at the Cross.
Book of Jude:
Michael again helping other angels and orders Satan to stop stealing Moses' body by rebuking him in God's Name.
Later in the Book of Revelation:
War breaks out in Heaven between Michael and his angels against the Dragon and his angels.
We live in a free co existing multi cultured society of Earth (unless you live in a troubled country) so as long as we respect each other's faiths it should be "legally" fine especially since we already have Evolution, Karma, Tribal and Diablo themed games and mods.
A complete mod overhaul and renaming (or the much harder repainting) of the game's assets would take time and a very dedicated modder.
But just the class would be really cool. Thanks again. 😀
XD...
Yeah I prayed you wouldn't delete your comments and that you would give me a chance to... you know... do my thing with info, fact checking and a complete response!
If nothing else- this is written and can be referenced into the future as a record for when someone with skill decides to make this happen. ^_^
Also, at work, so by memory; elisha and the prophets of baal.
Jacob wrestling with the angel. Too many for Job. Joshua and the walls of jerico and asking for God to stop the sun. In the book of Enoch, we have Enoch repremanding the fallen angels.
Anywho, from all these stories a class could be made,
How bout “call forth a giant fish to swallow your enemies”.....lol
Wonderful and yes we really need some more Water Skills which are oddly absent from this game! ^_^
I figured the difficulty would lay in the custom creation of things within the mod. New effects is time and understanding.
So, does one of these two summoner classes interest you? Pretty sure the field general would be the easier of the two. Dosent really require any custom mechanics. (I dont think).
The second one, like for the archangels, wings would be cool and help distinguish the look. I think salan had wings on a human merc or something. Maybe he used the engineers backpack as a base and did something custom with that. Idk.
What do you think thuumking? Also i understand classes take time.
