I agree with you. Since many of these civilizations were never named, I doubt that they will ever get descriptions.

Just vote them down and leave a comment why. Seems like a lot of players do not give a crap to create decent civilizations for the game with some lore and background descriptions and just toss out crap which IMHO should be removed from workshop.

Telling people I'm downvoting their stuff opens me up to retaliation. Most of my stuff has at most two up votes, and one of them is mine.

People will downvote you simply because they can, it has nothing to do with how well or how bad you made a ship or Civ. Omni, Barzane, Gary. myself and many other ship designers and civ creators have been dealing with this for 3 years. As good as we all are we simply cannot please everyone.

Three days after I uploaded my Star Trek Discovery Crossfield class, some little troll ( Username Skabb ) not only voted it down but also left me several nasty, unprovoked, profanity laced comments directed at me and my ship design.

People are going to do this regardless, especially trolls. All you can do is give some constructive criticism and hope they take it as such.

I'm in the process of uploading my entire collection of custom civs i use right now. (220 of 600ish done) What i've found is that it can take 4-5 minutes per civ mostly due to the discription i have to write. I try to be detailed as to their behavior but if i listed every trait, it'd take twice as long.

That said, while i'm not doing it right now, i may go back when they're all uploaded and list every trait and ability for the resons you say.

Yes, I noticed your Hypello state civilization days ago. I upvoted it without downloading because it had details listed and such behavior is to be rewarded.

thanks, though that's news to me cause they're all supposed to be hidden still...lol. Though that was my first one and i was still getting used to how it all worked a bit.

I get that you want to promote your work, but the topic is about how people don't put specific gameplay details in the descriptions of their civs, and you posted a civ that does not include specific gameplay details. Know your audience.
