Request: Sandbox Mode
I have an idea for a new game mode: sandbox mode. In this mode, you are up against no major empires so you can build yours to your heart's content. You can still contend with minor factions and pirates as well as events, but competition won't be heavy at all.

Single player game is already Sand Box.

When I say sandbox I mean no AI opponents in single player.

That defeats the purpose of playing a game like this so I doubt your request will get any attention.

set yourself the biggest galaxy and 1 moron AI player. Custom build your opponent AI to minimize expansion and growth in favor of something useless like trade. Minimize their ship building capability, and maybe make them robotic race (the AI can't seem to handle this) with lots of penalties. This isnt perfect, the you should be able to tak about 75 to 90% of the map and either ignore or quickly wipe the enemy AI down to 1 planet. Be sure to turn off unwanted accidental victory like influence.
