There needs to be a COPY MAP or SAVE AS function for making missions!
Maybe I missed it, but Is there a way to make a COPY of a mission you're editting?

Seriously... I've spent hundreds of hours on map on other games, and a lot hours in Tropico 4.
I'm dsylexic, and if I can't backup a map I'm working on, it's really kills the usefulness of making one because a) I might break it and not be able to reload to point it wasn't broken and b) I can't make my own "template" or make maps derivative of a previous ones.

So, all in all, "Save as [another name]" would make things exponentially more useful, and my not finding it [yet... maybe it's obvious and I'm overlooking it] really stinks....

Thanks! :check:

I am sorry, but I do not know.

I have tried downloading an already created scenario of mine, but it downloaded it as a *playable* map, not *editable* one, and thus could not find it in the "MISSION EDITOR" scenario list.

What's more curious is that I found an "EXAMPLE" file in the Tropico 5 folder... which upon deleting did nothing, the "EXAMPLE" map continued to exist in my list of maps, and I could indeed access it.

Tropico 5 does not appear to have created a folder in "User/Documents" like some games do.

I tried searching for files modified today (the day I created a new test scenario), but I found nothing either.

Seriously, devs or moders really should consider this to be one of the highest priorities because it will greatly increase the chances of people making serious campaigns, which may be a major factor in whether or not Tropico 5 will "stand the test of time."

Not a hard change for anyone who know how to modifty the code I suspect, but SUCH a big potentinal payoff.

The damage done may not be appearent; there's no way to tell how many people might have considered working on maps but immediately got turned off like I did. Maybe people aren't as voal as I am and might have just shrugged it off, abandoned any intention of continuing or creating maps, and not posted it like I am here! :presidente: :check: :presidente:
