Obsolute MUST have for every world.
It varies a bit, because there are so many things that can spawn in corruption. But the 4-claim version is enough to fill a Pro backpack about 1 and a half times with the sheer variety of loot. A bit of that is useless recipes of course.
One of my worlds, I have a warehouse stuffed with everything that drops from corruption. The Diamond Armor, Swords, and Cells in particular take up a lot of room, since they don't stack. I have not had to craft any diamond gear since building this, and I use diamond exclusively, unless i specifically need lumite for something.
Basically, any mob-based resource I want out of corruption, it is well-met. Same thing goes for the lava spawner I built (on a now-defunct world). Between the corruption and lava spawners, I had plenty of iron as well. Chests are a rarer spawn, but all of the spawns in total are so voluminous, that it still works out.
And I cant stress this enough -- built out in the middle of the ocean so that 100% of the spawns are in your spawner and not somewhere off-screen being wasted.
Now the one caveat on spawns -- eventually you will reach a point where the spawns just stop, or they will slow to a trickle that is not worth the time. It usually happens after several resets; this is a thing that happens in creativerse period, whether in a spawner or "natural" biomes. This is almost always fixed by closing the client, wait a few mins, and log back in. In rare cases, you may have to reboot your computer entirely. Something about this process resets the spawn mechanic in CV. I theorize that the computer cache gets filled up (just like the memory leak with blueprints), and the client bogs down. It is also possible that it is a server-side inactivity reset of some sort. Regardless, this is nearly 100% guaranteed to fix it.
So TLDR: Just build it, trust me :) It will take a couple hours once you have all the mats gathered, but it is worth it.
Once again, initial props go to entuland for figuring out how to take advantage of the mob pathing to build a better mouse trap. Also for all his initial work on block types and proportions on the multi-biome version.
I'm going to make a giant brain, so I will have the coral farms anyway.
