Mods in Single Player! How do I get them to work?

Reposting ...to explain better what my issues are...
As stated above I have installed mods and as far as I can tell they aren't working? Any help appreciated.

Okay ..I have selected the mods I want in the workshop and I have subscribed to them. I have loaded game and then gone to the mod tab and selected the ones I want to try out. Once I am in game though I am not seeing any changes or seeing a pattern for them in workbences. What am I doing wrong? I have only selected two DecorNLamps and Rustic Structures.
Are mods for consoles only or can they be used on a PC? I have removed all mods except for Benches Core and I still can't find where or how to make, view these schmatics.

You have to spawn them in they do not just appear on their own, until dev kit is updated where you can learn engrams or mods just appear like a craftable item, they will all have to be spawned. For Instance decor and lamps you go the steam workshop click on the decor & lamps and click on the spawn codes icon and with the mod enabled on your game you can press the * key to bring up cheat command and copy paste the spawn code there for the mod benches which have these items in them. After entering spawn command they will appear in your inventory. You must be in single player or an admin of your server to do this though or it does not work. For Rustic structures make sure you have the updated new one and for this to work you must have the core bench mod of his as well. right now at the moment there is a bug spawning in the structure table and he is working on it.

have they up[dated teh dev kit yet or do you still have to spawn in items

No, and they likely never will. Here's what they said about it:

Development Kit
We're happy to see that there is continued interest in the DnL Dev Kit. We loved seeing how our modding community was able to add to the world we created. However, as we are pushing towards full release, it is unlikely that the Dev Kit will be updated before then. Thank you for your understanding!
