Mod Request: Beasts of Burden
We need horses, donkeys, oxen... Something that we can ride and/or attach to a cart for towing large amounts of goods in a little wagon train.

To my knowledge, that is currently impossible. However, it appears that the devs are moving towards the possibility of modding that.
We've been asking for this since before they abandoned it in pre-alpha 4 years ago. Like water, KEEN said it was impossible. Someday a modder might figure it out, but realistically, at the rate the game is being developed compared to Moore's Law, a bigger/ better studio will make a voxel/ survival game that eclipses ME. Empyrion shows it can be done, but they are a tiny studio too. If someone like Blizzard steps into the game we'll have draft animals, ridable horses, pulleys, running water, NPC's, working multi-player/ MMO, weather, seasons, a variety of wildlife, endgame content, customizable outfits, character leveling, working physics....the list of basics is long and KEEN will never address them. They've had 5 years and their latest update, while pretty, is an interface abortion and clikfest nightmare that objectively made the game less fun and more tedious. Lipstick on a farting pig.

Meanwhile, the rails mod answers your logistics problem for towing large amounts. It's still being updated after the latest muck-up by KEEN though.

such a shame when developers say impossible, yet the community modders can do it, and then to boot once the modders do it the developers have to go and break it

there is no question here, actions speak louder than words.... absolute madness if you asked us to ever support your style of work now herein ever into the future. I supported this developing company way too early (2013 se and 2015 me) to know these type of tactics but I see them clear as day now.

damn shame absolutely beyond failure, who teaches these people to behave in this manner, is this what people act like with work ethics in other countries? I'm still testing the game but I thought the game needed much needed more life and came to see about the mods and low n behold they're made but Keen decided to break the mods too, no excuses. The company wants modders to do their work and then breaks the mods when people do the work for them, it's like grow up already ffs.
