Without getting into heavy modding territory, I think a Purlin boss battle is long overdue. I could see it taking hints from the Campaigner battle to avoid making it a meatbag circlestrafing fest. Purlin goes melee on you, then after some time or damage he jumps to an innaccessible hill to shower you with his fireball wristgun thingie, before coming down for round 2.

The only way I could see that happening is if someone were to create a new engine for turok, like what modders did for doom with the Gzdoom engine. Still you never know if there's gonna be some breakthrough.

Custom enemies are already possible.

I'm pretty sure it's doable, I specifically suggested something that would only use animations and scripts already in the game. It'd mostly be a matter of making textures, an arena, and... huh... wrapping your head around the code needed to assemble it all.
