2. A "sweep" command like in Oxygen Not Included. It would operate like the loot or harvest command except items highlighted by sweep are prioritized for storage.
Repopulating a workshop's task list every time I start a new town is a hassle. This would save so much time!
1: as for my own ideas most of mine are purely aesthetic ideas, Making stairs and platforms objects that hearthlings can also walk on so you can build out docks and walking paths using objects instead of blocks similar to the concept artwork made back in the day by a fan.

2 :Right now I'd love to see a lantern or 1 block sized brazier or even a placable block of coal that automatically creates smoke at night so you can place them in very small narrow chimneys. Like i said, Purely aesthetic but it would add a nice touch to my build ideas.
3: I'd also love to see paintings that take the form of wall tileable wall panels giving off the look of wood or stone so you can have the walls on the outside of your builds look like one material and the inside of your builds look like a different material without having to make your builds double thick.
4: There was one idea that started to get peoples interest a while ago I had about recycling previously made things to recover lost materials. but personally I'd like it to be more realistic so the crafter who makes the object can recover the full amount but a hearthling that takes on the recycler job isn't specialized in those specific materials so you can only recover half of the materials used. I'd feel it's too broken to be able to craft something super important and than immediately uncraft it and gain back those very important materials you previously used. but that's just me lol
5: finally one of the ideas I most want that will never come to be is half slabs like you have in minecraft. i know this'll never happen because the games engine simply can't do it lol.
But if someone would be interested in making weapons and armor, I would LOVE to see some LOTR love again and get stuff for Gondor, Rohan, Erebor, the Elves, etc. Even orc factions like Isenguard. Though, the orcs might be a little harder considering that they are nor normally uniformed. Bonus points for some of the lesser known factions like Umbar, Harad, Rhun.
While I would love to take it further with them being added as full on Kingdoms... that might be a wee bit too much to ask for. From what I know, Kingdoms take a great deal of time to make as is. Trying to shape them uniquely to fit LOTR themes just might be too much work.
Hear me out:
You get your cook all set up to start providing for your growing settlement. You get her set up to maintain a small number of basic recipes in the inventory. Your cook becomes mostly autonomous, and your settlement starts to grow and your hearthlings are happy. But then, after some growth, your hearthlings are hungry, some of them are even starving! You forgot to update your cook's "maintain __" orders, so the small amount of food she is pumping out is just not enough for your sprawling empire!
If you could set your cook to "maintain ___ per citizen", as your town grows, your cook(s) would automatically increase the stockpile of food to match the town's growth.
Another idea, similarly related to the above suggestion: farmer auto rotate crops. I don't know about you, but I cannot keep track of when the crops are going to be harvested in order to rotate them in each field. There could also be an option on weather to include "Fallow" in the rotation or not. I don't need 300 baskets of corn, my hearthlings want a variety!
