is there a mod for swarm game play

or do i not need a mod for that?

well just over run them with numbers and just spamming out troops at a fast rate

You could try the "Death Match" game mode where you start with lots of resources. Generally this mode is played on fast speed, starting in the Post-Imperial Age, and with Reveal Map set to explored.

There is also a multiplayer custom scenario called "CBA" where your units spawn automatically and you have to kill enemy castles.

You could load a map in the editor an add some triggers (tutorials in www). With these triggers you can spamm ressources, troops a much more things ... with that you don't need a mod :)
