life in a freeport
i have just over 2500 hours in this game and from the start up until now i have noticed a increase in people living in freeports. what is the point in playing on a pvp server if people are just going to hide in freeports. Now i could be wrong but i am going to guess that when the developers made this game they did not plan to have a bunch of pepole living in the freeports. If a developer reads this could it be possible to either add a token that allows you to hit someone in a freeport for a short ammount of time or even after so many hours in the freeport your ships sink regardless if you are logging on every 4 hours to repair. has anyone else noticed this issue i believe it is getting worse but it could just be me?

Actually they should first work on finishing the game. As wanting to hit people in a place that is a SAFE area is not the best idea. Except if you want to see the last remnants of population from the game just leave for good and the game to die.

Especially on how 'stellar' they (the studio) handled previous call for "balance", like adding a hard cap to Health (messing up solo play and Private servers owner), and other such issues.

Better left alone to private servers owner to set up their things than forcing a hard caps.
And if you add such a thing, you can be sure that some people will manage to grief like beast with them. Just need a big company to decide to "clean up" a freeport, bringing it's whole crew and "Et Voila" all the freeport players dead. Rince and Repeat, especially if they can buy a stack and you get some free spawn kill option.

I'm sure you though about this before asking, don't you ? Or is that you hoped the devs would overlook how that could be abused ?

PVP guy cries because he cant easily kill people. i wish PVP players would stop trying to snipe newer / less confident players and just war with equally aggressive people.

not knocking the PVP style of play, but isnt fighting for rare resources and stuff more fulfilling than just picking off newbies all the time?

a pvp games with no safe areas is an empty pvp game.
