Now Griff's great's Oz Rail journeys on our CH 2 (or nick name as Aunty)

My insufficient Michael Portillo tolerance tends to prevent me from watching his shows regularly. That and the fact that they don't really seem to be about railways- with a few exceptions once he gets somewhere he can't seem to wait to get away from the railway and find out about Morris dancing, pigeon fancying or whatever bit of local colour the researchers have dug up.

His one railway claim to fame is that he 'saved' the Settle & Carlisle from closure when he was Minister of Transport.

Oh I didn't know that, thanks you two.

The show last night did similar. In that one only

The Ghan was shown and the heritage train at Port Augusta.

But I know, I think Sth Oz has more than that.

But it was good to see the landscape and what he was talking about with the fact? that Bradshaw may have been here and travel not just to the Alice etc.

Yes and not without some justification- I'll give him a few points for that.
