Completely off topic...
...but I can't think of a more knowledgeable bunch to ask.
My eye sight is well dodgy but I like to do a bit of electronics and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with those eye loupe things that are on spectacle frames and are they worth the outlay? (I use magnifying glasses at the moment but would like to go hands free).
Sorry for the stoopid question.

As a machinist for nigh on 40 years and a modeler for a bit longer I've found them very useful. Will suggest the flip up kind scince if you forget and try to look across the room it can be a bit dizzying just flip them up. I vote yes.

Thanks!...May I ask what you would consider a good price for a half decent pair?

This might help: https://tangibleday.com/best-magnifying-glass-for-hobbies-art-and-crafts-top-picks/ and https://opticsmag.com/best-headband-magnifiers/. Choose one to suit your budget. The last pair I purchased were on ebay and they work well.
