Car Mechanic Simulator 2020
We need a new CMS. This old one is still good but lacking. Or if there could be a major patch to GREATLY expand this game like, Imagine a CMS that is open world like American Truck Sim is. OR merge the 2 together to where not only do we have our Truck shops to work out of but we also have Mechanic shops. I would love to be able to drive around the cars I rebuild around the country just like the big rigs do, and make it online so we can drive to other peoples shops. And make the shops BIGGER. I dunno, I just love this sim and want to see it updated so i dont feel like after i have built the same cars 900x that... theres nothing else to do. OH and a freakin bigger junkyard PLEASE. All this can be done, Just add CMS to ATS with updates.

I would not hold my breath as there are 100s of games developed with this engine. As long as this publisher makes more money with the spinoffs, a new engine would only create competition to their other games.

We totally need a new Car Mechanic Simulator

Hope they add multiplayer car shows, drag racing, and car sells with the better parts adding not just cars being worth more but having better performance.

trust me there won't be a truck sim / csm crossover as both games are develloped by different companies... .we could go with some extra tuning and styling option tough

we need this. but first we need a multiplayer for cms18 like Dieselbrothers. build cars together, work in 1 shop together, things like that

I personally think it could do with a business model layer, e.g. workshop expansion and tool unlocks also incur a cost, a regular maintenance cost for the workshop and tools. Maybe have a reputation feature which allows you to charge clients a bit more, reputation improves if vehicle repaired in timely manner. Also have a marketing budget which you could use, aside from basic marketing methods, to sponsor a race team and fix/tune their race cars, reputation improves if race/drag team is doing well. I dunno if it would require a lot more coding but thought that would be cool. It feels like the workshop is essential to the simulator and the workshop also needs to be simulated, i.e. business. My two cents anyway

i wish the customer cars was a short thing to deal with instead of how long it takes to get to build cars or trucks i want to work on

I believe it was said a while back that this game will NEVER be multiplayer in any way, shape, or form. But, one day, there will be some of the other things possibly......like adding more DLC....maybe some more trucks into the mix. Really, there's quite a bit that needs improved or added to this iteration of the game. Such as, in Car Editor, we have a solid front axle with drum brakes like would be on older 4x4's yet, we have no transfer cases that angle to the right except the tiny green 4cyl motor....which is a gutless wonder. Currently you get a transfer automatically with certain engines and that's it. Makes creating 4x4's a pain. There's many parts we still need as in this example....like exhaust for instance. Plus, there's a lot of performance parts still missing. Also, people want to be able to throw custom suspension on an in-game car to lower it or raise it for example. There are some issues with raising / lowering vehicles which make this a non-option in the game's current state. But, I figure those limitations could be programmed for to make this possible...though I'm not sure....it may not. At any rate, there IS much room for improvement on this title and so long as the Dev's want to keep improving it, this game is going to continue being a Niche game with increased sales.

Yep!! I have this in my watch list (following.) I tried out SLRR but, working on the cars is a little clunky and difficult to get used to after playing this one for so long.
