There's a red dot in my map, what is it?
There is a single red dot on my map always in the same spot at ground level about 1000 units away from anything, and it gets rendered on top of everything, meaning I can see it through walls and solids. It's like a little fuzzy red dot, like a laser pointer. I cannot see this dot in Hammer editor, I can only actually see it when in VR. I can't actually get to it, I have no idea what it is.

Is this an error of some kind, some missing asset? Is there a window or toolbar that will help me see what kinds of errors I have, or for what purpose this red dot?

There is a developer console that should print out any errors like missing assets.

Turns out it was a teeny tiny little HMD that was missing or something. It was hiding in the bushes, and so I couldn't see it when I was close to it normally. Only whenl I was looking at nothing but a solid dark color while also looking in it's direction. I made a mistake when I said it wasn't viewable in the Hammer editor, it was, I found it because I was facing towards it by accident and also facing a dark wall, so it was bright red, almost a couple pixels in size, that I knew what it was when it rendered over the wall.
