How to make a compatibility mod

There are two mods I want to use together but seem to conflict. Judging by their last updates I'm assuming they are both abandoned. I would like to take matters into my own hands and make them compatible with each other myself.

That's the thing, how would I go about modifying them myself? It would seem that the provided told won't let me open them.

Any modded content published on the workshop is sort of secured.
You can use published mods only as a source for (new) custom content, but not for tinkering with it.

You'd have to contact the modder for the raw mod data, if you wanna tinker with a mod.
