Cultists shouldn't be able to Charm Medusae and Werewolves
This has been bugging me ever since I noticed it. Medusae and Werewolves are not pure animals, they're monsters with animal characteristics. The rest of the monsters Charm Monster works on are animals, albeit quite large ones.

If anyone wants to make a mod to change this, or tell me how to (I don't know much about making mods), I'd be very grateful.

I know this is a post from a year ago, but if you are still wondering how to do this, it can be done by editing the mx_Monster_Data.dat file for the Medusa and Werewolf entries in a custom mod.

You would edit their "subtype" from Animal to something else (or "xx" for no subtype). The "Animal" subtype for any monster in this file is what let's cultists charm them.

You could also add/remove other monsters from the animal subtype as well, depending on what you want cultists to be able to charm.

Here's the Werewolf entry for example:
