Quite a few "shiny" appearances turned into "not shiny" in the 2nd game (for example the droid party members). As far as I know turning that into a mod is a bit problematic as a Steam mod. Most people use TSLRCM, it includes a file that would need to be altered and no 2 mods can include the same file.
Outside of Steam there's mods (that you can apply to the Steam version) that use the TSL Patcher, which can prevent such mod conflicts.
