how fast is to fast?
most of the ships i have been working on go around 10 m/s while in use. then there is my fuel tanker that recently broke 5000 m/s and is flying. is there something i should look into to give my warships much faster top speeds?

5000 m/s IS PRETTY FAST but 10 m/s is fine as my lighter ships usually go 14-17 m/s.

make them hover just above the water and put a large custom jet at the back

My speed record is 9000m/s using counterspinning large rudders as rotors. Unfortunately, it is highly uncontrollable. Vessels will repeatedly evaporate themself slamming into the seabed.

mine only used sails, and was quite controllable while in the air. By controllable i mean you won't crash, not that you can control were you are going. it is like flying a brick flying at the speed of light. i accidentally while testing made it fly across the map. in campaign. i have only defeated the dwg, and ended up scouting the northern edge of the wf

this is not the first insane creation i have made. i lost a lot work when my computer broke, but i had a ship with 2 500mm auto-cannons with a fireing rate of 10 rpm. and a railgun that could punch through heavy armor one map away. if it hit that is. Also, dwg sucks at antisubmarine warfare, i defeated them with a single sub. not even a good sub. a box with missles, propellers, and ballast tanks.

Christ almighty, that works out as approx 20,100 mph!

i have a new use for it with the new update: stealing loot from enemy battles. you can see loot the enemy has not collected on the world map, and this thing is fast enough to reach it, collect it, and get out before interception.

most of my heavy battleships go 20ms, with a relativly small amount of props and REALLY pointy hulls
