-There is no such thing as too much control surfaces, spam as much as you'd like.
-PID tuning plays a large part in you're plane's flyability.
-Try to center your thrust on the center of mass, if not you'll run into pitch issues which can be overpowered with more pitch control surfaces, but still annoying.
-Less drag = more speed, though trying to reduce drag tends to make your plane look like a dagger
More or less the basics of getting a plane flying. If you're building a replica, just start on the hull and try to get it to look like it, the rest can be finagled on to make it flyable. 3x3x2 can fit a 1k fuel engine, and you'll least need room for a mainframe + 3 pids + transmitter + maybe a breadboard.
