Removing "required" assets from being automatically added to map when uploaded?
My map doesn't require any assets packs, however I think I still somehow have an asset pack considered as "required", namely the "Winter Peak" asset pack. The first time I uploaded my map, it was automatically added as a required for the map, but I don't use any of it's assets in my map. I believe when I started the map I used one of the materials from that package, but since then everything is created by me.

When I updated my map a couple days ago, again the "Winter Peak" asset pack was automatically added as required, so I had to remove it. I can't seem to get rid of it. I have tried manually removing all references to the material from my maps and project, and I have checked in the Asset Browser for references or dependencies.

Is there a way to just remove the asset pack from my project altogether, and let me handle issues with missing references?

The Edit Dependencies button in the addon list should let you deselect any asset packs.

You mean in the Workshop Tools list, the one that you can launch the tools from? I do see the Edit Dependencies button, but upon clicking I only get the option to "Add Content Pack Dependencies", and it gives me a list of the asset packs I have installed. Does this mean I have no dependencies, since I can only add not remove?

EDIT: I notice now that the asset packs highlight when you click them, which I assume means that they are added as dependencies. And clicking again will un-highlight them, effectively removing them from the project? I have since unsubscribed from the Winter Peak asset pack, so it is not there in the list. I wonder if it is technically "highlighted" in the background, even if I don't have it installed. So would I need to re-install it, so I can see it in the list, and un-highlight it?

Yeah, if there is nothing highlighted in the list, that should mean that there are no dependencies. The list is stored in the addoninfo.txt file in the game folder of the addon, so deleting anything from there should remove the dependency.

I found the file and I understand it reflects the dependencies selected in the Edit Dependencies window. I can't really test it right now but next update on my map I will see what happens. Thank you!
