How to toggle fullscreen in the HLA client that opens with the tools

When I first started using the tools, the client was in a window. But after doing a test in VR the other day, it is now stuck in fullscreen, even when vr is unchecked. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello, here is the solution.

Short answer:

add this " -fullscreen -w 1920 -h 1080 " (without "..") to the launch options for your Half Life Alyx game.

How To?

1. Open your Steam Library and right click on your "Half Life:Alyx" Game.
2. Go to "properties" at the bottom of the "drop down menu"
3. Under the tab "Gerneral" (first entry) add this " -fullscreen -w 1920 -h 1080 " (without "..") to the launch options for your game.

Whats that?

-w 1920 and -h 1080 =

a. The letter "w" and "h" stands for "width" and "hight

b. The numbers stand for the resolution.

c. I use a full HD monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1080p.
Adjust this if you want to use a diferent resolution.
