Is the mod manager crashing, and is the upload failing?
If so, try this:
There is a workshop upload limit of 2 GB. The workshop will crash if your mod is larger than this.
There are two folders when you open the Half-Life: Alyx folder: a. content
b. game.
In the content folder, you'll find your mod and all the original resources like pictures and models.
In the game folder, there is a compiled version of your mod. The editor automatically generates this folder while you are working on your mod.
I usually solve upload errors as I describe below. But always remember to do backups! BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP!
Inside the game folder, there is a maps folder. I usually delete all the content inside the maps folder.
After that, I compile only the map I’m going to upload to the workshop.
I don’t know why, but the upload always works after I do this. If it's still not working, then back up your map save files in the content folder and leave only your last save in the maps folder.
If that doesn't work, create a new mod and copy your old mod into the new one. Then, use only your last save file for your map.
All I know is that when the workshop manager crashes, it’s either because of something in the maps folder in the game folder or because the mod is too big.
