Space Station Project
Hi Folks,

I've been working for a long time on a large (for me) project that just fits within a single [large blueprint]. I started this project in December 2017, and I completed it yesterday (May 2020). I'm a slow builder. It's a space station that has a diameter of 206' 8" (63 Meter). There are a total of 5 main decks, and 2 sub-decks.

Structure Levels:

  • Deck 0.5: Emergency Airlock
  • Deck 1: Main Graviton Control & Power Storage
  • Deck 2: Operations
  • Deck 3: Medical
  • Deck 4: Main Airlock
  • Deck 4.5: Engineering & Auxiliary Graviton Control
  • Deck 5: Biosphere

Blueprint Link:

Features Include:

  • Designed to be used as a player's base in the sky
  • Spacious layout gives plenty of room to customize your base
  • Functional medium size workshop (Processors & Forges)
  • Over 90% of the interior flooring is heated, although the exterior hull is unheated
  • Utilizes a clean SciFi design similar to Star Trek stations and starships
  • Most electronics are decorational only to minimize potential lag
  • Airlock doors are controller by electronics
  • Large windows to view the outside world
  • Contains many computer screens with text (using arc signs)
  • Lots more to see...

What do you think? Do you have any questions about the build? I hope you find the space station useful, and I'd love to hear what you do with it! :)

Moved to the Workshop forum for blueprints

Shiva Vyre, where is the Workshop forum for blueprints? I'm looking on the Creativerse forum page (and in the sidebar) and I don't see a link to it anywhere. <feeling very confused>
I'm afraid it's a bit hard to find, and it's confusing.

If you click "discussions" while looking at Creativerse in Steam, that will take you to the Steam forums for Creativerse.

If you click "workshop" while looking at Creativerse in Steam, that will take you to the blueprints workshop for Creativerse.

Now... If you first click "workshop" and FROM THERE you click "discussions" it will NOT take you to the Steam forums for Creativerse (as any other "discussions" link would). It will instead take you to a funny, separate, and rarely visited forum only for the workshop.

Shiva is doing exactly as she's been instructed. The devs (and Steam) want us using all these odd sub-pages of sub-pages to their maximum potential. But as you can see from browsing the rarely visited forum only for the workshop, there are places where very few users bother to look for anything.

On the bright side, you have an excellent blueprint recently placed in the workshop. Plenty of users look there. I can already see it's getting lots of attention.

Thanks for your feedback RSoM LuckySheep! Wow, so after all that effort I put in to make this post just right, and it's going to get some pretty low readership.

Is it because I included the link to my blueprint that my post was transferred to this hard to find sub-forum? I've seen other posts that haven't been moved, but I "think" they didn't have the blueprint link in them. If I removed the link, could it be moved back to General Discussions?

Hey silver 😀 when you are in general discussions on the forum you will see the list on the right of the forum categories where to post. Clicking on Workshop gets you here. (Not the top tabs but the Subforum list in a box on the right)

As Lucky explained, Your link has nothing to do with it. This threads topic and purpose is the workshop so it belongs here as bugs goes to bugs & issues, etc..

I guess "difficult" or "not frequently read" is a matter of perspective and user preference and forum familiarity.

Most users might go to the blueprint workshop directly, people like me use both. 😀

Happy to answer any other queations!

Edit - autocorrect strikes again. I need to figure out how to turn it off lol

Okay, thanks for the clarification Shiva Vyre. :)

Looks really good, Silver! The lines look so smooth on the exterior. Nicely understated lighting as well. Good stuff.

Thanks for the kind words gspectre and ThePilgrim! Lots of work went into the build and I'm glad to hear you like it.:steamhappy:

BTW, there's an "Easter Egg" somewhere in the build. I won't say where, but I'm curious to see if/when someone recognizes it...
Just now seeing this - I love it!
thanks for all you work on it, i actually added it to my large space port on my world Creative Funny Farm. i have a 6 or 7 large space ships around my space port, which takes up multiple claims, and includes a crashed alien village.
a wide angle view of my space port is now my screen saver and your ship is very promenent in the shot

That sounds awesome soaringfreedom; glad you've found a nice spot for the station! :steamhappy:

It's funny you mention a spaceport and crashed alien ship. I'm currently working on a large (multi-multi-multi claim) alien planet with a (WIP) human colony ship in orbit. The space station is also hovering (up high) near the ground-based spaceport. Lots of shuttles flying back and forth too. Fun times, and LOTS still to design/build...

P.S. I'd love to se a pic of your screen saver if you don't mind sharing with us!
