I could run this set up. Dell XPS with i7 K CPU a 6th Gen Quard core, Nivida GeFoece 1070, Ram 16 GB, HHD 0ne TB.
I ask could you ?
Last I looked at systems that run in Steam only 3% have what I have. (that was a year ago ).
I might add, the Unreal Engine that is for this game would not be able to do all that. I've been told, (by someone in the work shop) that TripWire doesn't have the full Unreal Engine) how true that is compaer the cost of the Unreal Engine. $ 700,000.00 + 3% of sales.
Now you for private use it is $ 200.00, (last I looked, I went to there web site).
Onto the tanks and vehicles, totally doable the code for tanks is still even in the game right now! You had full on tank battles in RO2, there's no reason for them not to exist in RS2 because of performance issues. Only thing holding them back is time, they're complicated and require a fair amount of work.
To put it another way I remember tanks in RO2 being a frusterating experience, especially on custom maps, due to the issues of "getting stuck " on objects that tanks should be able to basically crush/bulldoze their way through.
