I had been hoping that it would add my new force option to the freestlye's drop down list.
After adding a new option (which did not appear in-game). I overode an existing option (Wild Expanse because I hate the huge map size).
While I renamed Wild Expanse in the editor, it still appeared as Wild Expanse in the freestyle drop down selection screen (with it's old description).
However, the map did load with the new monster lairs and turned out to be compatible regardless of which player forces / wandering monsters were used with it.
I'm going to try to find someone in multiplayer to see if the versions of (wild expanse and some MP specific parts of the Q file I edited) will show the same behavior. And also if this will work as a host-alone download or will require both players to have it.
From what I can tell of freestyle so far... -
Area 1x1, and 5x5 must remain blank in 2P
This might extend to Area 1x2 and 2x1 for the Shared Border setting
Area 1x1 2x5 and 5x2 must remain blank in 3P
Area 1x1 1x5 5x1 and 5x5 must remain blank in 4P
This might extend to Area 1x2 1x4 2x1 and 2x5 for the Alliance setting
