Auto-Retreat Mod
Does anyone know about an auto-retreat mod?
Im a slower player that cant beat anything other than a hard ai, and even that is a challenge. After watching a replay its 100% because i cant micro in more than one location at once (because im slow) and I would just really like for units that get down to 1 unit to just run away like a normal human. Especially since exp is tied to the unit not any one squad member.
Its frustating to see my friend easily deal with elite ai (or whatever the one above hard is) and end up with loads of 3 star units while i just cant keep anything alive because im not looking at everything within 1 second of looking at something else. While on top of that... you get the point. I know "just stick to easier ai" but i want to be some what useful without having all of my units die so easily and all the experience going with it.

Go on easy. Find a chokepoint map. Get someone to help you. Maybe verses and throws things at you at your own speed. Learn over time or accept that you lack the ability to function as others do with fast-paced multi-tasking games.

It isn't just expert, it's all difficulties. AI also has other cheats as if it functioned like a normal player it would be too stupid to beat anyone.

Used to have trouble like you, but you get used to it. Don't blob, practice and observe your failures as opportunities to improve your skills and reaction-time. Pay attention to unit cards in top-right and just try to learn to keep tabs on troops, don't sit them still and be aware of what nearby enemies can do. Look away and that Gren squad can lob a grenade when you ain't looking.

My Kriegspiel V5 mod has an auto retreat, sections have a high chance to retreat after taking heavy casualties, *heavy* artillery fire or are exposed to flamethrowers. (Flamethrowers instantly immolate and kill their victims).

I personally have the opposite problem I think, I tend to retreat a lot, such as when I fall to 3 models with my engineers or 4 on my conscripts. I agree with what Demonic said, practice makes perfect. I'd be willing to give you a hand in a match as well and teach you what I know!
Thats a good idea for a mod. It may help you to watch the unit icons more often as well. Im not sure how much you've played so you may know this already... you can click directly on the unit icon and press "T" to make that unit retreat. It's much faster than finding the unit on the map.
